General & Admin Volunteers

Next Step has volunteer opportunities in two important areas of ministry operations. One is in overseeing the admissions process, which includes handling everything from the initial inquiry of a candidate to the final candidate interview. The second is in the handling of the ministry’s informational products, e.g., newsletters, annual reports, etc.

Please prayerfully consider helping in one of the following areas:

  Admissions Processing
When a man is interested in Next Step he may call, write, or e-mail with a request for information. We believe it is important that each candidate have a thorough knowledge of Next Step prior to their arrival, therefore, the initial communications are very important. For written or e-mail communications we typically send an informational flyer and perhaps the initial application documents. For a local person, we typically arrange an interview where these same documents will be provided as appropriate. If the man is still interested after receiving the initial communication, there will be additional interviews and documents needed. Next Step needs volunteers to help in responding to these inquiries, copying application forms, and arranging interviews.

  Communications Production and Distribution
There are many people and organizations who support Next Step Ministries prayerfully, financially, and as volunteers. We are obligated to keep them informed regarding the work of the ministry; therefore, we periodically issue a short newsletter and an annual report. Other forms of communication may also be needed. While the Next Step personnel will typically write the content for these communications, we need the skilled and talented people to produce the documents. We also need support in distribution.
